We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We will not send you marketing emails unless you ask for them, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Any email we send will identify us and let you opt out.
5. Cookies and tracking
The public pages of this website do not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or other third-party tracking. Our server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security.
6. Where your information is stored
Your information is stored on a server we rent from Alibaba Cloud, located in the People’s Republic of China. Email correspondence with us is handled by our business email provider, NetEase Qiye Mail, also located in China. While stored outside Canada, your information may be subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access by its courts, law-enforcement and national-security authorities. We use these providers only to run this service, and we protect your information as described in section 8.
7. How long we keep it
We keep audit requests for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep records for as long as our working relationship and legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting rules) require. You can ask us to delete your request sooner.
8. How we protect it
- All traffic to this website is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Requests are stored in a database that only authorised team members can access through a password-protected admin page.
- We limit access to people who need it to respond to you, and we collect only the information listed above.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we have used it;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information or stop using it.
Email fde@yolohappy.com. We will reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. There is no charge for these requests.
10. Questions and complaints
Our privacy contact is reachable at fde@yolohappy.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
